Lounges boasts an enviable High Street position in the pretty Georgian town of Lymington with its marina and cobble stoned quay.

The Lounges building has been providing the Lymington community with fine food since the early 1930's - from Fruit and Veg to Dairy and even fresh pastries.

There are many boutique style shops in Lymington making shopping extra special. On a warm summers day why not visit the historic Roman seawater baths and relax away your worries.

Most of the graceful Georgian buildings, lining the impressive wide main street were built for the merchants, who traded in the local salt trade. The famous Saturday market really brings this town to life (which dates back to the 13th Century), with varied shops and stalls catering for all tastes and interests.

Follow the High Street down to the cobblestone road and you will find yourself in the Old Town Quay. This busy Quay is still today used by many fishing boats.

While walking the High Street you may take a moment to think about the smuggler's tunnels which run from the old Inns to the Quay - however these are not open to the public as they are too dangerous !

Access to Lymington is by car, train, coach or even boat, this being an Isle of Wight Wightlink Ferry port as well as a very popular yachting center.
